about Integratorpro ...
Integratorpro evolved
over a number of years, beginning as a small custom A/V business that
served local clientele in Cincinnati. After a brief merger
with another company, I resigned my position as President and sold my
shares of the corporation to pursue other interests.
Several years went by in which I gained networking skills and
certifications (Cisco CCNP and Microsoft MCSE) working for others,
during which time I began investigating the possibilites of
establishing an online presence.
At the same time it seemed reasonable to put my experience in writing.
Hence, the book "Integrating the
Smart Home & its Owner," and more recently "Wiring for User-Friendly Smarthomes & Security." Other activities
arose, including a long-distance consulting business from my other site
www.HomeAutomationConsulting.com.
I currently work from my home located in a
suburb just north of Cincinnati, Ohio. Depending on how you
measure things, I have about 15
- 20 years of experience in residential A/V and Automation.
I now firmly believe that the most sophisticated home automation
systems are those that are done by hobbyists. All you need do
is spend a reasonable amount of time on some of the user forums to
figure that out. The dedicated end-user is going to be far
more enthusiastic about the possibilites, and willing to dig as deeper,
than any paid company.
My mission, therefore, is to spread the word about how exciting and fun
the world of automated home design can be - without spending a fortune.
